I'd Rather Eat Foie Gras than Have a Thigh Gap

So, I'll try to keep it brief and mostly pictures for the foodie post. First, a big THANK YOU to Vanessa who found most of these places to eat. They were wonderful and delicious. Second, a warning: this post might make you hungry -- proceed with caution.

Clint Restaurant & Epicérie - near Père Lachaise

The most delicious mac n' cheese (there's bacon hiding under there, too)

Chez Mamy  - 11ième
Sea snails & delicious mustard sauce
Up close shot of a sea snail

Picnic by the Seine & Gelato

Sitting on a dock along the Seine

This gelato was SO GOOD (milk chocolate, passion fruit and mango)

Our first course -- endive salad for me, and a delicious mushroom soup for Vanessa.

The most tender cut of veal in existence and the most delicious sauce you ever laid eyes on

Lemon meringue pie

The writing desk of Jean Jacques Rousseau

The writing desk of Voltaire
(EAT HERE; make a reservation first, though)

First course: Ravioli filled with comté (my absolute favorite cheese ever) smothered with a creamy cheese sauce & a cut of pork over lentils.

Confit du canard & mashed potatoes -- life is SO good
(aftermath)

Dessert -- coffee with assorted yummies: vodka and nutella, strawberry cheesecake, marscapone and sorbet, whipped cream with raspberry sauce

(the absolute best hot chocolate you will ever have in your entire life, ever)

The brunch spread

Seriously the most delicious hot chocolate ever.

Hash browns, an egg, some bacon, and a salad for the main course

Brioche french toast with caramel sauce - YUM

Digesting in the park

Pierre Hermé - Macarons

Clockwise from top left: passion fruit & cream cheese, mint & red fruit, passion fruit & milk chocolate, japanese garden (8 flowers)
